Batizado & Grading 2026

Welcome to our Australian Capoeira Festival 2026 Event, taking place in Melbourne, Gold Coast, and Sydney.

This event marks an important moment in our calendar, bringing together students, instructors, and friends to celebrate development, commitment, and the continuous journey within capoeira. More than a grading, it is a time of learning, exchange, and strengthening our community through training, rodas, and music.

This year, our events place special focus on the berimbau and the Capoeira ABADÁ rhythms created by our Mestre Camisa, highlighting their importance in guiding the jogo, preserving our tradition, and deepening our understanding of Capoeira’s musical foundation.

We are honoured to welcome Mestre Morcego, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as our special guest for this event. This marks the third time he has visited Australia, and his continued connection with our community adds great value to this moment of learning, exchange, and celebration.

The Batizado & Grading day is free and open to the public to watch, offering everyone the opportunity to experience Capoeira and learn more about our art, its music, movement, and cultural roots.
